Starry Nights

You will remember the magic at Starry Nights; where you can revel under the Milky Way, overlook Vallecito from two decks, curl up around indoor or outdoor fireplaces, cook on the Charcoal BBQ, walk a private trail to and from the lake, enjoy a darling and fully furnished interior, and fall asleep amongst the tips of ponderosa pine. Come for a summer of laughter, mountain escape, lake lullaby, and adventure that only a half treehouse, half cabin can provide!
The cabin is located in a friendly neighborhood with its' own private access to the lake's shoreline, and a comfortable 1,080+ square feet for your family's enjoyment. A sunny dining area seats up to six which can be the perfect area for games, hosting, meals, and fun! The comfortable living area is great for relaxing and reading, equipped with a flat-screen 32” TV, and Netflix. We also supply our guests with complimentary Wi-Fi. Both bedrooms are upstairs on the second floor with a half bathroom between the rooms. There is a full bathroom and pull-out couch on the first floor, the pullout can accommodate two persons with a $35.00 linen charge. The cabin has forced air heating in all rooms, and both bedrooms have small fans, and a window air conditioner and 16" oscillating pedestal stand fan can be found on the first floor. This is an older cabin, and one important characteristic we want to share is the staircase to the second floor is 24” wide.
Two decks for stargazing every evening on both the first and second floors. The main floor has all the accommodations of a full cabin. The quaint kitchen is equipped with a five-burner stove and is stocked with just about everything you need- just ask! Take advantage of two complimentary kayaks, (to access kayaks, you will use a boat boarding ladder) life jackets, and oars for your lakefront experience. Explore the beautiful shoreline and walk down the private deer trail (which can be steep at points). with two kayaks, standard-size lifejackets, and a few fishing poles.
Cabin Reviews
Don't just take our word for it!
Just what we were looking for!
Little cabin has such personality it was like it was telling us a story. The two decks were incredible. The top deck made me feel were in a tree house floating in the clouds with the birds. The Vallecito area has so many breathtaking hiking trails within minutes of a drive away. You could spend weeks exploring. The kayaks were a blast and so nice to have along with the cabin. Amazing vacation cabin!! It was perfect for us." Jennier, 2021.
Wind in the Pines
We had an incredible stay at Starry Nights Cabin. Rene met us there, showed us around, recommend great restaurants, and was really responsive if we had a question. The surroundings were peaceful, and so beautiful. We fished off the shoreline every day, went kayaking, roasted marshmallows every night at the fire pit, and sat and listened to the wind blow through the pines. I'm already trying to figure out when we can get back there! Thank you so much for a relaxing vacation. We miss it already!" Maryellen, 2020.
Coffee on the deck
"Book this cabin if you can! The two decks are great; drinking coffee on a cool morning on the upper deck was a highlight of our trip. Direct access to the lake was a fun activity to add to our visit! We kayaked both days we were there. Bring some water shoes or crocs with you though as the coast is somewhat rocky. Renee was a friendly and welcoming host; she made sure we were well taken care of. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Vallecito Lake!" Andrew, 2022.
Comfortable beds
"We had a wonderful time. This was truly a home away from home. The attention to detail was amazing from the board games in the cabinet to the coffee in the kitchen. The beds were so comfortable! We had a fantastic stay and only wish that we could have had longer." Michelle, 2022.
